About the course

The course will be an introduction on Project Cycle Management and the Logical FrameworkApproach. Besides Theoretical inputs participants will work in small groups on a provided case study and will develop a first draft of a health-related project. Facilitators will coach the students during this process.

The course will consist in online live lectures and pre-recorded sessions. Pre-recorded sessions will be made available always prior to a course day, so that the online time is reserved for in-depth discussions and feedback.

Learning objectives

By the end of the course participants will:

  • Know about the basic principles of project cycle management (PCM) and strategic project management
  • Have the first experiences with the Logical Framework Approach (LFA) and its utilization for writing a project proposal

Prerequisites

  • Health professionals with a basic knowledge of the functioning of health systems
  • Experience in project planning/implementation would be an asset

Format description

Facilitators and participants of this course will be online. In case participants are already in Lugano to attend another course, they can follow the course from a dedicated classroom/hub in Lugano.
