Dr. Budden is a medical anthropologist and global health consultant, based in Washington, D.C. He has 20 years of combined experience in health systems and community-based research through roles in academia, non-profits, and private consultancy. His work, based primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, spans maternal and child health; reproductive health; HIV/AIDS; integrated healthcare; mental health; and vaccine and pharmaceutical systems. As Principal at D’EVA Consulting, Dr. Budden advises global health and social impact organizations on adaptive program evaluation and implementation research and how to leverage insights from behavioral science, participatory design, and complex systems thinking. His clients include USAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and their grantees. Dr. Budden was formerly a research scientist at the SwissTPH and participant in the SSPH+ Lugano Summer School.
