Andreas Alois Reis (MD, MSc) is the Co-Lead of the Global Health Ethics Team in the Division of the Chief Scientist at WHO in Geneva, Switzerland. After medical studies and practice in internal medicine in Germany, France and Chile he pursued studies in health economics and obtained a post-graduate degree in biomedical ethics. His main area of work is public health ethics, with a focus on ethics and infectious diseases.He has lectured and organized trainings for WHO in more than 40 countries, has published widely and is the co-editor of three books on bioethics and public health ethics.
