Pascal Bovet, MD, MPH, is a board certified (FMH) specialist in internal medicine and public health. He was a professor in public health and head of the NCD section at the University Center for Primary Care and Public Health, and he is currently a benevolent senior consultant at this institution. He conducted many epidemiological studies in several countries and published >400 papers. He was also involved with the development of hypertension and diabetes guidelines, tobacco control legislation, fiscal measures to control NCDs, and national NCD strategies in several countries, including as a technical adviser for the WHO.
