Amalia Pesantes is a Medical Anthropology anthropologist and a Public Health researcher interested in health inequalities among vulnerable populations. Her research focuses on the experiences and health needs of underserved populations such as Indigenous people, immigrants and people with chronic conditions. She is especially interested in research that can contribute to designing better strategies to improve healthcare access for vulnerable groups.
