Pascal Bovet, MD, MPH, is a board certified (FMH) specialist in both internal medicine and public health. He was a professor in public health and head of the NCD section at the University Center for Primary Care and Public Health, and he is currently a benevolent senior consultant at this institution. He conducted many epidemiological studies in several countries and published >400 papers. He spearheaded the development of hypertension and diabetes guidelines, tobacco control legislation, fiscal measures to control NCDs, and national NCD strategies in several countries, including as a technical adviser for the WHO. He co-edited “Non communicable diseases: a Compendium, Routledge, 2023", a book that comprehensively addresses the many facets of NCD prevention and control.
