Dr. Rita Sá Machado

Rita Sá Machado is a medical doctor and a specialist in public health, currently serving as the Director-General for Health in Portugal. Enthusiastic and passionate about policy and development areas, Dr. Sá Machado previously worked at the World Health Organization, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and at the local, regional and national levels of the National Health Service. Dr. Sá Machado holds a MSc in Public Health from LSHTM and a PG in Health Management and is an invited lecturer at the Institute of Public Health in Porto (ISPUP).
