Paul Crosland is a health economist at the University of Sydney, based at the Brain and Mind Centre. He has 15 years of experience in health economics across government and academic roles in Australia and the United Kingdom, with applied research and analysis in economics, public health, simulation modelling and clinical guideline development. Over this time, he has developed a portfolio of applied economic analyses and simulation models that have influenced health policy and informed government decision-making. Paul's research focuses on youth mental health, mental healthcare system strengthening, and the broader social and economic determinants of mental health. He integrates approaches from systems science, health technology assessment, clinical guideline development, and chronic disease prevention to inform decision-making and improve population mental health outcomes.
